Sleep Disorder, Sleep Apnea , SYMPTOMS, TREATMENT, AND HELP FOR COMMON SLEEP DISORDERS

Sleep Disorders

At one time or another, most of us have experienced what it’s like to have trouble falling asleep, to lie awake in the middle of the night, or feel sleepy and fatigued during the day. However, when sleep problems are a regular occurrence—when they get in the way of your daily routine and hamper your ability to function—you may be suffering from a sleep disorder.
Sleep disorders and other sleep problems cause more than just sleepiness. A lack of quality sleep has a negative impact on your energy, emotional balance, productivity, and health. The good news? You don’t have to live with sleeping problems. Read on to learn about the signs and symptoms of common sleep disorders, what you can do to help yourself, and when to call the sleep doctor.

Deer Tick Life Cycle

group of ticks. The deer (or black-legged) tick in the East and the related western black-legged tick are the only known transmitters of Lyme disease in the United States. Both are hard-bodied ticks with a two-year life cycle. Like all species of ticks, deer ticks and their relatives require a blood meal to progress to each successive stage in their life cycles.

The life cycle of the deer tick comprises three growth stages: the larva, nymph and adult. In both the northeastern and mid-western U.S., where Lyme disease has become prevalent, it takes about two years for the tick to hatch from the egg, go through all three stages, reproduce, and then die. Detailed descriptions of this life cycle and the seasonal timing of peak activity, as they occur in these regions, are provided below.

Ticks are the leading carriers (vectors) of diseases to humans in the United States, second only to mosquitoes worldwide. It is not the tick bite but the toxins, secretions, or organisms in the tick's saliva transmitted through the bite that causes disease.

Ticks are arthropods, like spiders. There are more than 800 species of ticks throughout the world. Many organisms that bite humans for a blood meal are not ticks and should not be confused with ticks.
Some common examples are bedbugs and fleas (both are insects, not arthropods). If it is possible to bring into the doctor's office what has caused a "bite," the physician may be able to determine what potential vector caused the "bite."

skinnygirl margarita

Why:
Liquor stores can't keep the stuff in stock, which means your girlfriend is drinking it.
What it tastes like:
Say the cute little four-year-old down the block made a bowl of lemonade but instead of sugar used Splenda and instead of lemons used lemon flavoring and put it in a big bowl filled with ice and set it in the sun so all the ice melted and the "lemonade" got kind of hot and she got bored and went inside and a Labrador retriever came along and lapped some up and then stuck his head in the bowl and got the stuff all up in his nose and sneezed uncontrollably into the bowl for a while. That's what it tastes like. On ice.

Make a SkinnyGirl Margarita
When summer is approaching and you're out for a night on the town or hosting a party--it never hurts to watch your waistline while you're drinking.

Here's a quick and easy recipe for the SkinnyGirl (or, guys, you can drink it, too!) Margarita. It is skinny because most margarita recipes call for sweet and sour or margarita mix, both of which contain a large amount of sugar
  • Margarita glasses
  • 1. Make a Skinny Girl on the rocks by adding ice to a rocks glass, add 2 oz. (a two-count) of white tequila, the juice of four lime wedges and a splash of Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Cointreau. It's that easy!
  • 2. If you're ordering a Skinny Girl at a bar, you can have it on the rocks, but replace the Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Cointreau with a splash of frozen margarita mix. You get the same great flavor and a little bit of a different texture.
  • 3. If you want a frozen margarita, combine all of the ingredients in a blender; just make sure that there is 2 oz. of tequila per serving and you're ready to go. Serve in a chilled glass--and if you'd like to garnish the glass, rim it with a lime and dip in salt or sugar or both.
